Infrastructure Minister: Georgian companies must be ready for Ministry’s ambitious infrastructure plans
The Ministry of Infrastructure has ambitious plans and a number of important projects to implement, making it essential for Georgian companies to be prepared to meet the established requirements, said the Minister of Infrastructure, Revaz Sokhadze.
According to the Minister, regular meetings between government representatives and construction sector stakeholders play a key role in the development of the industry.
“We hold these meetings on a continuous basis. It is important that several issues raised by builders during previous meetings were positively resolved today, and the government made the appropriate decisions. I believe this will further contribute to the development of both the business and the sector as a whole,” Sokhadze noted.
At the meeting with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, discussions focused on the goals, objectives, and challenges related to infrastructure projects, as well as key reforms needed for sector development, said Infrastructure Builders Association Head Irakli Giorgobiani.
As Giorgobiani emphasized, strengthening Georgian companies to deliver higher-quality infrastructure remains a key national priority.
“This sector plays a special role in creating economic value. At the meeting, we discussed how the state can further support the recovery and development of Georgian companies,” he said.
