Imereti Police detain two individuals on drug-related crime
Officers from the Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained two individuals on charges of large-scale drug possession and illegal plant cultivation.
During a search of the residential places of the detained individuals, law enforcers seized a large quantity of narcotic substances as evidence, including: 32 capsules of methadone, marijuana, and up to 13 kilograms of cannabis plants.
The investigation is in progress under Articles 260 and 265-prime of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provide for imprisonment for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
