Imedi TV releases statement

Imedi TV rebuffed the information that its webpage is operated via the Russian server and domain.

According to the TV company’s statement, digital infrastructure, databases, and domain registrar remain in Georgia.

“We would like to echo yet another disinformation released by the propagandist media and representatives of the radical opposition, that Imedi TV allegedly operates its webpage via the Russian server and domain. Neither the server nor the domain was relocated. Imedi’s digital infrastructure, databases, and domain registrar remain where they were before – in Georgia.

As for DDOS GUARD, its legal owner and management company is IQWeb FZ-LLC, which is registered and headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai, namely, in Dubai Internet City. This company operates globally. Its infrastructure intersections and filtering servers are located in many countries in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Global leaders such as Cloudflare, Akamai and others operate with the same model, which represents a gold standard for modern internet security.

It serves international customers globally to prevent and repel powerful cyberattacks. A multi-level attack prevention system is used to ensure the uninterrupted flow and cybersecurity of Imedi TV’s digital platforms. The server located in Central America (Belize) acts as a secure gateway that filters user traffic and redirects to the main resources in a safe mode. The server infrastructure and database are stationed in Georgia, which ensures stable and fast delivery of services,” reads the statement.
