Imedi TV broadcasts audio recording in which Paata Burchuladze and Bacho Akhalaia allegedly discuss planning unrest in Tbilisi
Imedi TV has released an audio recording of what is allegedly a telephone conversation between Paata Burchuladze [leader of Rustaveli Avenue movement] and Bacho Akhalaia [former minister in United National Movement’s government]. The authenticity of the recording has not been verified.
According to the broadcaster, the audio file was received via email.
“Right, now listen to me carefully. I’ve repeatedly spoken with Datuna there, with his lads here, whoever they are, right. When it hits six o’clock, we start: go in, push forward, pull back, whatever we can. But, look, very carefully. Because they mustn’t nick anyone straightaway now. You get me, right? Clashes, head-cracking. As many hotspots as possible, meaning at more points, so we take a large territory and scatter them as much as possible. Then whoever dies, ours, a copper, I don’t give a f*ck, right, I’m telling you straight,” says the person, allegedly Bacho Akhalaia in the audio recording.
The respondent, purportedly Paata Burchuladze, replies: “Yes, we’re ready.”
“Now people will start gathering at four, won’t they?” asks allegedly Bacho Akhalaia.
Paata Burchuladze: “Yes, we’ll be ready at four.”
Bacho Akhalaia: “By six, everything needs to be ready, so it kicks off straightaway, for f*ck’s sake. One word and it needs to f*cking start.”
Paata Burchuladze: “Have you thought about coming down yourself?”
Bacho Akhalaia: “No, no, I can’t leave the house. The State Security Service is watching me straight off, you’re not daft. They’ll grab me immediately, bang me up. Otherwise, you know how gladly I’d be handing out weapons to the lads? To f*ck these bastards up properly. We all need to be on the line by two.”
Paata Burchuladze: “Yes, we’re on standby from two.”
Bacho Akhalaia: “From Moscow they’re in touch, the brothers’ bosses, whoever they are, and they’ll send the money too, don’t worry about that. From that side, Tariel and his people will come. Anyway, they’ve told us about the lads and we’ll see, in short. We need to do something together now, otherwise… This is our last chance, because if they cock this up, the Georgian Dream will f*ck us over properly, then they’ll be all over us till the end.”
Paata Burchuladze: “You’re 100 per cent right.”
Bacho Akhalaia: “There’ll be blood, and mark my words, nothing will be able to stop that process.”
Paata Burchuladze: “It’ll be proper.”
Bacho Akhalaia: “That’s it, uncontrollable. Your lot, my lot, everyone, there’ll be no understanding any more. You know, the crowd, the mob, you know how it surges and spins round; even if you wanted to stop it from inside, you couldn’t stop it either. You’ve seen what fire’s like, haven’t you, when it’s burning really fiercely and you suddenly pour petrol on it. That’s the effect it’ll have. Bang, it’ll explode, the whole city will burn, they’ll be totally f*cked.”
