Ramaz Khetereli, who was illegally detained by the occupation regime in July last year, will be released tomorrow, Irakli Antadze, the Deputy Head of the Analytical Department of the Georgian State Security Service, announced after today’s meeting of 121st Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) in Ergneti.
The 121st meeting covered six cases of illegal detention and eight new cases of illegal borderization.
Along with security issues, the parties also discussed humanitarian issues.
“The central government of Georgia has once again requested a ten-day extension of the road opening period in occupied Akhalgori. Consultations are ongoing so that some more of our citizens will return to their families shortly.
The meeting also tackled eight new cases of bordarization. The issue of restricting free movement is always on the central government’s agenda at these meetings”, Irakli Antadze noted.
The next regular IPRM meeting is slated for 12 November 2024.
