Ilia II of Georgia - We should think about building a spiritual temple
The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II reminded parishioners the words of the prophet Haggai at today’s liturgy.
As his Holiness and Beatitude, Ilia II, said, the prophet Haggai was the last prophet who addressed people –“You build palaces and you cannot manage to build a temple of God.”
Ilia II of Georgia said everyone should think about building a spiritual temple.
‘First of all, we have to think about our spiritual temple.
We are building visible temples. We have to think about what kind of temple we have built in our soul.
We have to think about whether or not we are moving backwards or forwards. God helps us to go up,’ the Patriarch noted.
