Ilia II of Georgia met with Cardinal Pietro Parolin

‘Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and the spiritual leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church met with Cardinal Secretary of State of the Holy See (Vatican) Pietro Parolin,’ Patriarchate of Georgia reports.

As the statement of the Patriarchate reads, Cardinal’s visit aimed at maintaining and deepening the cooperation with Vatican.

‘The conversation between Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and Cardinal Pietro Parolin touched upon the difficulties and modern challenges Georgia and the whole Christendom face,’ the Patriarchate said.

Cardinal Secretary of State of the Holy See (Vatican) Pietro Parolin is paying a three-day visit to Georgia.
