Ilia II - Children never touch the drugs!

Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II has addressed parish and bless children after the salmon liturgy at Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral today.

“I congratulate everyone on this day. Today is the day of happiness, the day of blessing the children, so we should honor the children. Today we bless the children and every believer”, – the Patriarch noted.

“Today I want to say a few words about the upbringing of children. Our youngsters are good in comparison with others, but we have one drawback, we are too proud. Some young people take drugs. Children, you are now standing before the Lord, you must take an oath that you will never touch the drugs! Do you agree? Then say together – We agree!” – ilia II said.

The Georgian Orthodox Church marks Saint Barbara Day on December 17.
