“The Borjomi Mineral Water Bottling Factories No 1 and 2 halt operation to avoid provocations organized by activists,” IDS Borjomi Georgia reported on Wednesday.
The employer company vows to resume operation as soon as the strike stops.
“As a highly responsible company, we will suspend the operation of both factories to avoid provocations organized by Trade Union activists that endanger human health and safety. IDS Borjomi Georgia is fully prepared to resume operation at any time,” the statement reads.
The company workers kicked off the strike on May 18. They demand a pay rise, rights to holidays and breaks.
