The Agency for Internally Displaced Persons is set to purchase residential homes for nearly 300 internally displaced families across the country. The official list of families who received a positive resettlement decision from the IDP Issues Commission has already been published on the Agency’s website.

According to the Agency, the displaced families have been granted a six-month period to select homes of their own choosing in any region of Georgia and submit them to the Agency for approval.

Notably, alongside the construction of purpose-built residential complexes, the house-purchase scheme for displaced families has expanded significantly in recent times. So far this year, the Agency has already purchased homes for 1,640 IDP families.

The process of providing housing for internally displaced families will continue at an even more intensified pace in the future.
