The Iashvili Paediatric Tertiary Referral Hospital has temporarily suspended accepting new patients because of rehabilitation works. However, the ambulatory diagnostic centre, haematology-oncology department, and clinical treatment for exceptional situations will stay operational.
According to the facility’s statement, renovation work is approaching completion.
“The medical centre will be fully refurbished by the end of 2022. Up to ten million GEL will be invested in the hospital as part of the project,” the statement reads.
The Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities Regulation Agency inspected Iashvili Hospital to check that the infection control system was in good working order. The Agency revealed certain flaws, and the hospital’s administration opted to rectify these concerns right away.
“Our mission is to provide high-quality medical care. This will be done through the reform we will undertake in 2025, which would require worldwide certification for all hospitals,” the Agency’s chief remarked.
