The Georgian Health Ministry will lift the 25,000 GEL limit on oncology medications in a bid to make state-financed treatment entirely accessible to all oncology patients.
Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze stated on Friday that the ministry is committed to providing high-quality medical services to people.
Preparations for amendments to key normative acts have begun and will be enacted within the next several days, according to the decision.
Sarjveladze hopes that the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as cancer patients, would actively participate in the collaborative process.
