Seasonal flu vaccination throughout Georgia has commenced within the state immunization program starting today. The Ministry of Health offers free vaccination to high-risk individuals more susceptible to flu complications.
As part of the program, the Ministry of Health has purchased 200,000 doses of the four-component vaccine from Abbott Biologicals B.V., recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). This vaccine is tailored to the strains expected to circulate during the flu season.
Vaccination for individuals in the high-risk category is available at institutions providing immunization services. Here is a list of these institutions.
