Health Ministry initiates blood donation campaign for children

On the occasion of International Children’s Day, the Georgian Health Ministry initiated the launch of a blood donation campaign for children that will last for the entire year.

Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze announced at the briefing that children should be cared about every day and not only on June 1. He congratulated each child and wished them the best future, prosperity, health and happiness.

“I call on everybody not to overshadow a child’s interests and rights with other interests. June 1 is not the only day to value children’s rights, this is to remind that children’s interests are supreme every day. We should care for the welfare of the future generation,” he said.
