Health Ministry reports eight hospitalized during protest; their health conditions are satisfactory
The Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health, and Social Protection reports that eight civilians injured during the protest on Rustaveli Avenue on May 1 were hospitalized. One of them has been discharged from the clinic.
According to the agency, the hospitalized patients’ health conditions are satisfactory.
“Emergency coordination and aid teams transported the injured to various medical facilities. The injuries include wounds to the face, head, and other body parts, as well as intoxication and respiratory complications. At this stage, the health conditions of the hospitalized patients are satisfactory. They are receiving appropriate treatment and are under observation,” the agency stated.
The Ministry of Health reports that 20 emergency coordination and aid brigades were mobilized near the protest site.
“Dozens of citizens received medical assistance on the spot, including one law enforcement officer. They experienced headaches and burning eyes. We clarify that medical staff is providing necessary medical services to all citizens. Since the rally started, emergency aid brigades have been additionally deployed around Rustaveli Avenue,” the Ministry concluded.
