Georgian Health Ministry called on citizens to take modern ID cards not to face obstacles in receiving pensions, social aid or other services.
The Ministry urged citizens to apply to Houses of Justice or territorial units of the Public Service Development Agency (PSDA) where they will get the documents for free.
As of July 1, 2024, by the law, the identity cards issued before July 28, 2011, lost their legal validity in Georgia.
Holders of old ID documents will be restricted from using ATM machines, monetary transfers or other bank operations.
