Health Minister says oncology patients to receive medicines at clinic

The Ministry of Health recently conducted a working meeting involving patients with oncological diseases and representatives from patient organizations. During this session, Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze introduced a new draft of regulations aimed at improving the accessibility of essential medicines used in various therapies. Under these proposed rules, medications will be available directly at medical institutions, eliminating the need for patients to obtain them from pharmacies.

Minister Sarjveladze emphasized that this change aims to enhance the accessibility of oncological treatments across the country. Patients expressed strong support for this initiative, noting that it will significantly improve their daily lives and streamline the treatment process.

In addition to discussing medication access, the meeting addressed other critical aspects of oncology treatment. Participants exchanged views on enhancing service availability and discussed ways to improve overall patient care.
