Health Minister Sarjveladze and his Türkiye's counterpart review ongoing joint projects

Georgian Minister of IDPs, Labour, Health and Social Affairs Mikheil Sarjveladze hosted Kemal Memişoğlu, Minister of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, who is paying an official visit to Georgia.

During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed ongoing joint projects and prospects of deepening cooperation.

Mikheil Sarjveladze noted that Georgia-Türkiye cooperation contributes to the strengthening of the two countries and mutual support in the international arena.

Kemal Memişoğlu remarked that Türkiye was ready to implement more joint projects with Georgia. The two ministers signed a memorandum, which aims to effectively employ the existing potential in the health and medical sciences fields and strengthen bilateral cooperation, namely implementation of new projects, medical tourism and education, exchange of best practices, regulation of pharmaceutical projects and medical equipment.

Deputy Health Ministers Irakli Sasania, Tea Giorgadze, Giorgi Tsagareishvili, Irine Tsakadze and Türkiye’s ambassador to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbay, attended the meeting.

Kemal Memişoğlu is paying a two-day official visit to Georgia. Accompanied by his deputy and heads of healthcare departments, he arrived in Tbilisi on October 20 and continues to hold high-level meetings.
