Health Minister: No cause for alarm despite seasonal flu increase
“With the onset of the flu season, case numbers are naturally increasing; however, this does not indicate an alarming situation or provide grounds for drawing serious conclusions. The situation remains stable,” Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze said.
According to the minister, the healthcare sector is fully prepared for the flu season.
“All sectors responsible for dealing with the virus and other illnesses are operating at full capacity and are ready to respond to any challenge. There is no reason for panic at this stage. I would like to emphasize once again that the situation is normal and fully under control,” Sarjveladze stated.
He also urged the public to take preventive measures, including vaccination, observing hygiene rules, and seeking medical attention when necessary.
“The state has mobilized all available resources, and there are no objective problems in this regard,” the minister added.
