Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze named Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti and Samtskhe-Javakheti to be the most Covid-infected regions that is related to low vaccination rate and autumn agriculture works.
The Minister said the number of infected patients was increasing in these three regions. However, she claimed that the epidemiological situation was under control and there was no necessity to impose additional restrictions.
“According to the situation for today, the infection rate is 1.32%. It was 1.72% one week ago. As we observe the coefficient going down, we expect that in absolute numbers, we will have low rates by the end of next week,” she claimed.
