The health condition of officer of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) found wounded yesterday is stable and, Optimal Med Clinic director Giorgi Shatirishvili reported.
According to him, the patient experienced multiple wounds in the breast area. He underwent an immediate surgery yesterday. “Situation is satisfactory right now. It is absolutely stable. No respirator is need any more, but the patient still remains in the intensive medical treatment department,” Shatirishvili said.
An employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was found wounded in the security police area. As eyewitnesses claimed, the policeman was found in the parking space and had wounds in his chest.
An investigation is underway under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, pertaining to infliction of damage to health. The exact motive for the wounding is unknown, but reports say the police officer inflicted self-injuries.
