Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of Government Administration of Georgia met Anne Montavon, Head of Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Government Administration reported.

On behalf of the ICRC, Anne Montavon extended condolences to the Head of Government Administration on the passing of His Holiness Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

The meeting focused on the effective cooperation between the Government of Georgia and the ICRC. Particular emphasis was placed on the organization’s important role in the search for and identification of missing persons.

The discussion also covered the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories. The Head of Government Administration expressed gratitude to the ICRC delegation for its humanitarian support to conflict-affected populations.

The meeting was attended by Zviad Barkaia, Deputy Head of Government Administration.
