Head of Government Administration: Economic ties and knowledge-sharing with Singapore crucial as Georgia expands its regional connectivity role

“The Prime Minister will be holding working meetings in Singapore with both the Singaporean Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament,” announced Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Georgian Government Administration.

He further noted that Irakli Kobakhidze is set to participate in a round-table discussion with representatives from leading financial technology (Fintech) companies, which harness information technology to deliver modern financial services.
According to Zhorzholiani, the Georgian Prime Minister will also meet with the Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Changi Airport.

“Singapore serves as a premier financial and regional hub in its part of the world. Likewise, Georgia acts as a pivotal hub within its own region,” Levan Zhorzholiani stated.

“We are investing heavily in enhancing our connectivity function, as well as in cementing Georgia’s position as a robust financial and logistical hub in our region. Consequently, deepening economic cooperation with Singapore, exchanging vital expertise, and further fostering ties across various sectors is of paramount importance,” he added.

The Prime Minister travelled to Singapore accompanied by an official government delegation, which includes Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
