Head of Border Police Meets NATO-Georgia Essential Package Representative

The Head of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel Davit Tamazashvili, held a meeting with Captain I Rank Kobak Meric, Deputy Head of the Main Group of the NATO-Georgia Essential Package, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the ministry, the discussion highlighted the Turkish side’s support and involvement in implementing measures under the Maritime Security Initiative of the NATO-Georgia Essential Package.

Colonel Tamazashvili briefed Captain Meric on ongoing projects of the Border Police. The sides also discussed bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Turkey in maritime security, which they assessed positively.
