GWP cuts off water supply to some parts of Tbilisi due to flood, drinking water contamination treat

Georgian Water and Power (GWP) Tuesday said the water supply would be limited to some streets in Tbilisi as heavy rains in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region flooded the Saguramo area, including its Saguramo building, posing a threat to drinking water.

In a bid to avoid drinking water contamination, the GWP temporarily has cut off the water supply to the following streets until tomorrow, at noon.

The following districts will be affected:

• Vake-Saburtalo
• Digomi village
• Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi
• ​Didube-Chugureti
• Gldani
