Guram Okropiridze appointed head of Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency
Guram Okropiridze has been appointed as the new head of the Tbilisi Public Kindergarten Management Agency, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced at today’s municipal government session.
Kaladze said the position became vacant after Kakha Abuladze, the former head of the agency, was appointed as one of the Mayor’s deputies about a month ago.
“Therefore, Guram Okropiridze will now head the Kindergarten Management Agency. Guram completed an English-language master’s program in public administration at Speyer, implemented jointly by Tbilisi State University and the Speyer University of Administrative Sciences. Since 2021, he has served as a member of the 7th convocation of the Tbilisi City Assembly and as chairman of the Sports and Youth Affairs Commission. Before that, he worked in the private sector,” Kaladze stated.
The Mayor wished Okropiridze success in his new role, emphasizing the importance of early childhood education for the city.
“The proper operation of kindergartens is a very responsible and crucial direction, as it concerns our children. Special attention is paid to every detail, and it is very important to continue and further strengthen this approach,” Kaladze said.
According to the Mayor, a number of new and significant projects are planned in the field of kindergartens in the coming years.
