Guram Kashia will make his final appearance for the Georgia national football team in a friendly match against the Romania national football team. Before kickoff, the captain bid farewell to fans.

Kashia has made 129 appearances for the national team, becoming the all-time record holder for Jvarosnebi. He scored three goals and provided one assist. Notably, the experienced centre-back also played as a defensive midfielder on 16 occasions, mostly during the tenure of coach Temur Ketsbaia.

Kashia has represented Georgia since 2009. He was appointed national team captain in 2021, following the retirement of Jaba Kankava. Under his leadership, Georgia qualified for the UEFA European Championship for the first time in its history.
