Grigol Vashadze: We will bring 1 400 representatives of opposition parties and up to 2000 representatives of NGOs in Zugdidi
Grigol Vashadze, leader of the united opposition claims that it is not true that the opposition plans to create chaos for Zugdidi mayoral elections on May 19.
According to him, the united opposition will bring 1 400 representatives of opposition parties and up to 2000 representatives of non-governmental organizations in Zugdidi.
As Vashadze said, the Georgian Dream is trying to rule Georgia through fake news, falseness and dictate. “The government alleges that we are planning to create chaos and provocations in Zugdidi and that’s why we are bringing people there. This is a government that has been stealing elections since 2013. In all elections since 2013, we saw provocations, personal abuses, intimidation, bribery and neglect of the opinion of the international community,” Vashadze said.
As Vashadze said, the government is not going to take into account any recommendation of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).
“We are really bringing an unprecedented number of observers because we have seen the methods of Georgian Dream. We will not let them rig the elections,” Vashadze said.
