Effective today, GPB Teleshcool (Teleskola) has kicked off broadcasting in HD (High Definition) both on terrestrial and cable networks.

GPB First Channel is finishing technical re-equipment, thereby, the viewers clearly see the upshots stemming from the re-equip, said Director General at Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), Tinatin Berdzenishvili.

On top of that, Olympic Games Beijing 2022 will also be aired on Teleschool and 1TVPLAY app, alongside First Channel, she asserted.

Education Ministry and Georgian Public Broadcaster launched Teleschool (Teleskola) on March 30 to provide e-learning for I-XII grade students in all subjects, school leaver classes, classes for national minorities, and adapted lessons for students with disabilities in sign language.

The educational channel has great development potential. Its 2021 programme development strategy is based on the universally recognized STEM and SOFT SKILLS teaching systems and aims to promote the buildout of technological and creative thinking in young people.
