GPB First Channel categorically condemns violence and disproportionate use of force. Intentional and violent persecution of journalists is unacceptable. 

We call on relevant institutions to ensure prompt and effective investigation into concrete facts and provide a safe working environment for reporters. They should be allowed to perform their professional duties under any conditions. 

Moreover, we declare that the Georgian Public Broadcaster, as the European idea and institution, fulfils and will continue to fulfil its obligations as defined by the law and as stipulated by the European broadcasting standards.
