“The work of journalists and reporters during warfare implies considerable risks. Our film crew is back to Ukraine to provide the public with verified information,” GPB Director General Tinatin Berdzenishvili stated on Monday.

The State Service of Veterans Affairs congratulated GPB First Channel employees on Georgian Journalism Day. The representative of the State Service gave symbolic gifts to the camera crews, who reported the war developments in Ukraine.

GPB Director General Tinatin Berdzenishvili noted that war reporting implies considerable risks.

“It is noteworthy that every day is a day of journalists for us, especially in this challenging situation, when our several film crews worked in the epicentre and Kyiv. We went through difficult days. Currently, another film crew went back to Lviv to provide the public with verified information. The work of journalists and reporters during warfare implies considerable risks. We have developed a document that outlines the rules for journalists on how to work during hostilities. We take this issue very seriously. Our film crew is working in Ukraine, and those who came back and did their best to inform our community were rewarded symbolically today,” Tinatin Berdzenishvili said.
