GPB Director General wishes Radio listeners to be inspired by positivity that radio has and to enjoy intellectual, in-depth programmes
“Today, Georgian Radio has turned 101. I congratulate the entire nation of Georgia on the birthday of Georgian Radio and wish radio listeners to stay positive, like the tunes of our radio and enjoy interesting, intellectual and in-depth programmes,” said Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Director General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).
As Tinatin Berdzenishvili noted, Georgian Radio continues to enjoy the highest level of listener trust and offers diverse, interesting programs every day.
“With pride, we celebrated the centenary anniversary of Radio since it was not only Radio’s birthday but the launch of the first broadcasting in Georgia. It is more praiseworthy that our radio has walked this path so magnificently.
Georgian Radio enjoys the highest trust of listeners. It is the only talk radio that, besides amazing music, offers diverse, interesting programs every day and covers the entire territory of Georgia by 100 per cent.
We have loyal listeners in the region and in the case our radio signal fails to reach the highly elevated region, they contact us and our team ensures that the signal covers each spot of our country.
I congratulate the whole of Georgia on Georgian Radio’s anniversary and wish the listeners to stay positive, like the tunes of our radio and enjoy interesting, intellectual and all-encompassing radio broadcasting,” she said.
Georgian Radio has turned 101 today. May 23, 1925, was the date when Georgia launched its first radio broadcast.
