Gov't to prevent Georgia's territory from being used to circumvent sanctions
“No legal or physical individuals will be allowed to use Georgia’s territory to circumvent sanctions. This is our firm stance, which is not subject to review,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
According to PM, the Georgian government closely coordinates with international partners, and speculations about this issue should stop.
“I want to be clear that the Georgian government will not tolerate illegal activities in its territory by any legal or physical entity,” PM said.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine alleged Russia was trying to arrange the smuggling of military and other sanctioned products through the territory of Georgia with the consent of the government.
