Gov't pledges to try hard to avoid third COVID-19 wave

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said the epidemiological situation is deteriorating all over the world, including Georgia.

Increasing coronavirus cases requires greater attention and higher responsibility from the citizens, PM said on Thursday.

The Head of Government urged the population to adhere to imposed regulations to the fullest extent.

“We should do everything we can to prevent a third wave of viral spread and avoid tight restrictive measures, the only mechanism for which is compliance with regulations. Properly wearing a face mask, refraining from all kinds of crowded gatherings are the basic concessions we must make for the sake of our lives and health until the vaccination protects us,” PM stressed.
