Gov’t, opposition meet on electoral reform

The ruling ream and the opposition members are holding a working meeting on electoral reform at Hotel Ambasadori in Kachreti, the Kakheti region, on Monday. The NGOs are also attending the meeting.

The election administration staffing and the election campaign practices are in focus at today’s meeting. The opposition parties elaborated up to 40 points in this regard.

The working group should reflect the recommendations of the Venice Commission and the OSCE/ODIHR in the electoral legislation, including the issues covered by Charles Michel’s document.
