Gov't grants one-time pay to WWII veterans and victims’ families

By government decree, in honour of the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism, World War II veterans will receive a one-time social assistance payment of GEL 2,000, while family members of those who died in the war will receive GEL 1,000.

According to the government administration, the financial aid will be distributed to individuals listed in the electronic database of the State Service for Veterans Affairs.

The Social Service Agency for IDPs from the Occupied Territories, under the Ministry of Labor, Health, and Social Protection, will oversee the distribution across Georgia.

Tbilisi City Hall will allocate the necessary funds for those registered in the capital. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has signed the decree.
