The Georgian government has approved a comprehensive 2024-2027 action plan under Georgia’s 2021-2027 Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture announced.
The plan, with a budget of over GEL 4,2 billion, primarily funded by the state and supplemented by international donors, focuses on three key areas. Those areas include enhancing competitive agricultural and non-agricultural sectors, promoting sustainable natural resource use and climate adaptation, and establishing robust food safety and veterinary systems.
Developed in collaboration with various ministries, the plan includes 88 activities aimed at fostering sustainable economic growth and rural development in Georgia.
