Government opens competition for selection of Anti-corruption Bureau head

The government opened a competition to select the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, according to the December 22 order of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

The competition commission should include representatives of the government, parliament, Supreme Court, General Prosecutor’s Office and the Public Defender.

According to the order, within one week from the announcement, candidates for membership in the competition commission must be submitted to the PM.

The details about the conditions of participation in the competition, the deadline and the rules for applications submitting for the participation in the competition will be published on the website of the Government of Georgia within a week following the competition commission’s first meeting.
