Government declares January 5–6 days off
By decree of the Government of Georgia, January 5 and 6, 2026, have been officially declared days off. The decree was published today on the website of the Legislative Herald.
“The administrative body will determine which services or employees under its jurisdiction are exempt from this resolution if their duties are urgently necessary for the exercise of state power and the normal functioning of society.
This resolution does not apply to financial obligations that must be fulfilled to individuals under the supervision of the National Bank of Georgia. It also does not apply to activities related to state procurements as outlined in the Law of Georgia ‘On State Procurement,’ including the activities of the Council for Review of Disputes Related to Procurements and state procurements defined in subparagraph ‘a.t’ of paragraph 1 of Article 3 of the same law,” the document, signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, states.
