Paris hosted a high-level conference of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann and Olivér Várhelyi, Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement opened the conference.
Representatives of the Balkan and Eastern Partnership ((EaP) countries participated in the conference. Revaz Javelidze, Head of the Government Administration took part in the meeting.
The OECD presented the updated principles of SIGMA program that were first published in 2014 but were revised taking into account the global challenges this year.
Revaz Javelidze spoke about Public Administration related reforms in Georgia and future plans stressing the reforms’ significance in process of Georgia’s European integration.
The Public Administration reform kicked off in Georgia in 2015. The reform is based on the EU Public Administration principles elaborated by the OECD/SIGMA in 5 directions: Policy Planning and Coordination; Public Service and Human Resources Management; Accountability; State Service Delivery and Public Finance Management.
