GNERC Chair says electricity, gas pricing stay unchanged

Davit Narmania, Chairman of Georgia’s National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (GNERC), claimed that neither the electricity consumption tariff nor the cost of natural gas is expected to rise.

According to Davit Narmania, based on the 2021-2022 statistics, electricity consumption in the residential sector grew by 13.6% in the winter months compared to summer, while natural gas consumption per capita climbed by five times.

Narmania stated that the higher consumption would not be reflected in the utility costs.
