Globalmed Director reports patient injured in Station Square building collapse under neurosurgical care
Sofio Babutsidze, Director of Globalmed University Clinic, stated that the patient injured in the partial collapse of a residential building near Station Square is in a stable but critical condition.
According to her, the patient has been transferred to the intensive care unit, where the patient is receiving appropriate intensive treatment and care under the supervision of neurosurgeons.
“Fortunately, her injuries do not currently require surgical intervention; they are manageable and stable. The patient has sustained a skull fracture and a fracture of the parietal bone. She recalls yesterday’s events very clearly, remains conscious and responsive, with neurological functions fully preserved. Intensive treatment and care are ongoing,” Babutsidze explained.
The collapse of part of a residential building near Station Square occurred yesterday. According to the latest reports, two people died as a result of the incident, and one individual remains hospitalised.
