Global coronavirus cases top 25 million

The number of global coronavirus cases has topped 25 million. The COVID-19-related death toll has reached 846 000. More than 17 500 000 people recovered from the novel virus so far.

In terms of cases, the US ranks first (5 970 000), followed by Brazil (3 800 000) and India (3 500 000).

Experts said, due to the summer holidays, recently, the number of infected people has been increasing in Western Europe. For that reason, some countries are forced to tighten restrictions.

Earlier, Ukraine decided to close the border as the daily cases are increasing. As for Russia, its coronavirus cases are nearing one million. Russia’s COVID-19-related death toll stands at 17 025.
