Girchi’s Khvichia says gov’t rhetoric tenses relation with West, though can’t proof Georgia deserves sanctions

Girchi opposition party member, Iago Khvichia on Monday said: “I don’t have enough evidence to emphatically say that Georgia deserves to be sanctioned; there is a ‘black hole’ in the country, I am not used to speaking without evidence, but our government is doing everything at the level of rhetoric so that the situation with the Western partners is not settled.”

Khvichia went on to say that “This messy situation will lead to sanctions,” adding that “we are not doing the right thing, even if our partners don’t sanction us.”
