“The opposition does not talk about ideas, urges and goals, therefore, I do not believe in this coalition. It will be a waste of time, money and human resources, and we are not going to participate in such an activity,” said Aleksandre Rakviashvili, a member of the Girchi party.
Rakviashvili said that forming political coalitions around those who have money has nothing to do with politics.
“We are looking for politicians who can publicly voice freedom and defend it in discussions. Unfortunately, we have a real shortage of such politicians in the country,” he stated.
Aleksandre Rakviashvili further said that the Girchi party would welcome the coalition of the Lelo, Strategy Aghmashenebeli and Girchi-More Freedom parties, saying, “We will have fewer competitors.”
UNM Chair Levan Khabeishvili recently said that the “UNM holds the key of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s (GD founder) defeat” and invited other parties to cooperate and “receive the key copies.”
