Giorgi Vashadze: GD faces tough challenges at home and abroad

Giorgi Vashadze, a leader of the Unity-National Movement, stated that the Georgian Dream party is facing significant challenges domestically and internationally. His comments came after a meeting with a delegation of chairs from the Foreign Affairs Committees of eight EU countries.

During the meeting, Vashadze noted that the meeting discussed various steps, including the issue of sanctions.

“We discussed various investigation mechanisms, including sanctions and the actions Europe should take. Additionally, we explored new strategies that we are not ready to disclose publicly. However, the public will soon see that we have a clear plan to achieve justice and ensure that new elections are conducted. I want to be clear: the Georgian Dream is experiencing difficult times both domestically and internationally; this will become evident,” said Giorgi Vashadze.

Vashadze also noted that European parliamentarians support an international investigation into the elections.

“They are supporting an international investigation; when the government refuses, it only further proves that they are criminals attempting to cover up the organized systemic crimes they have committed against Georgia,” he added.
