the Georgian judoka Giorgi Sardalashvili (60 kg) has triumphed as the gold medalist at the ongoing World Championship in Abu Dhabi.

In a thrilling final, the 20-year-old Georgian emerged victorious over Taipei’s representative Yang with a vazar in extra time.

The first day of the tournament witnessed remarkable achievements, with medals awarded in the men’s 60 kg category and the women’s 48 kg and 52 kg categories.

It’s worth noting that at the previous World Championship held in Doha in 2023, Tato Grigalashvili (81 kg) and Luka Maisuradze (90 kg) won gold medals, Lasha Bekauri (90 kg) won a silver medal, and Giorgi Sardalashvili (60 kg) became a bronze medalist.
