Giorgi Margvelashvili: Establishment of European School is another tangible outcome of Georgia’s European integration

Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia has held a meeting with Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations to discuss current situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, Georgia-EU cooperation, the Association Agreement and establishment of the Eastern Partnership European School.

President Margvelashvili welcomes the establishment of the new school, being another tangible outcome of Georgia’s European integration and strong cooperation with the European Union that enables young people not only from Georgia, but also from Georgia’s partner countries to acquire European education in Tbilisi.

As highlighted, Georgia attaches great importance to the EU assistance in the consolidation of the international community.

President Margvelashvili has briefed Johannes Hahn on the current situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, focusing on the recurrent cases of human right violations, and called on the international community to consolidate and be actively involved in this process.

Giorgi Abashishvili, Head of President Margvelashvili’s Administration and Davit Rakviashvili, Secretary of the National Security Council have also attended the meeting.
