Gigi Ugulava – March 8 agreement should be fully fulfilled, Giorgi Rurua must be also released
Georgia is not alone and the world is not roofed with straw, not even covered with coronavirus – Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia Party said.
According to Ugulava, whatever painful is the commitment taken, it should be fulfilled on part of a person especially if she/he is in the ruling power.
Ugulava said that the March 8 agreement had to be fully fulfilled and Giorgi Rurua, a media owner who was detained in December, had to be also released.
“This shameful page in the nearest history and the epoch of political prisoners and reaction of the government has to be closed. This issue has to be solved with adoption of Constitutional changes since changes are necessary to repel the storm we are facing today,” Ugulava said.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili pardoned Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia, and Irakli Okruashvili, former Minister of Defense on May 15.
