“Georgians worked hard to get candidate status. Current challenges need to be tackled and we are here to help to address them,” said European Commission Director General for Neighbourhood & Enlargement Negotiations, Gert Jan Koopman.

“Just arrived in Tbilisi. Looking forward to meeting with President, Government, Parliament & civil society. Georgians worked hard to get candidate status. Current challenges need to be tackled and we are here to help to address them,” he wrote on X Platform.

European Commission Director General for Neighbourhood & Enlargement Negotiations, Gert Jan Koopman visits Georgia on May 1-2 as part of his South Caucasus trip.
